hello
what sys of Megasquirt do i need .
Megasquirt II?
ok theres what i got 2.5l klze rods pistons and a kl31 ecu
nknow im looking to turbo, got pipes and am now looking for e-mangment system.
now from what i have read is that i need Megasquirt II
is this right? also how hard is it to install and will i still need the kl31 or can i run the k8 ecu? finaly what are the requirments for the laptop,p2,p3,p4.
thanks i tryed to search just cant find a straight answers :?

well i don't really know much about megasquirts but i'm guessing they can work on pretty much any motor no matter which version you get (like my haltech). you will probably want to get a megasquirt&spark though so that you can control ignition timing also.

anyways you won't need a factory ecu as the megasquirt is a standalone. laptop requirements are probably very low, my haltech will work on laptops that don't even have windows.

I'm running with the first one and it does the job plenty for me.
Keep the k8 ecu, no need to buy a kl31.
Everything will be changed anyways via the MS, and yeah make sure you have to spark option with it. It comes handy

thanks for the heads up on the spark option
i already have the kl31 ecu for doing the swap like 2 years ago and i still have the k8ecu so like u said run that and sell the kl31
