Grounding Kit Question - Spots to ground

Hey guys,

I bought a grounding kit and want to know the best places to set this up.
The kit i bought gives me 7 places to ground.. where should i start?

well i did alittle more research into this topic.. and found a nice little DIY kit on http://www.projectmazda.com so.. if anyone else wanted this question answered.. head over there!

Awsome find! I had planned on making my own grounding kit but wasn't sure where all the points are. The car in the write up tho is a V6. When you get around to installing the kit could you post the spots you grounded too? thanks.

I got my ground kit in a few days back. I figured I could make one, but got lazy and just bought the package. Most of the connections I want have been made, but as of yet I haven't added to the alternator ground or the distributor ground. As for results... I don't know. I never had an idle problem to begin with. My lights would dim when I hit the breaks, but that happens on pretty much any stock car. The car does seem a little more responsive, but the weather went up 10 degrees, which made my car happy. Either way, the more the better. I'm pleased with the upgrade.

These are my spots I chose to help ground.

light blue - engine block
dark blue - passenger chasis
green - intake manafold

I also am going to ground to the circled bolt on the alternator (I was weary because I know 2 bolts are possitive on the alt and I've never really gotten a good look down there, so I waited untill I fount my multimeter).
There is also a bolt on the distributor (but its blocked in the picture I took).

Dark Blue - I left the tranny ground stock because I was running out of wire and the stock wire is taped up pretty good to every other wire in the vicinity).
Green - Is this a ground point? It shows continuity to ground. I was thinking of moving it but I didn't want to screw anything up.
Light Blue - What is this? It looks like a heat sink.

Thats about it. I'll post more results as they come in.
Hopefully this will help someone. And post your pictures if you do the upgrade. I'm curious to see what others have done.

what is that hose for in your 3rd picture? looks like a clear garden hose or something

anyway, i did the "grounding kit" thing too, didn't really notice much of a difference, maybe slightly smoother at low RPMs. i didn't hit that many points though. i did the head, intake mani, disty, and tranny.

ummm.. it's exactly what it looks like.. a garden hose..

:actually it's part of the intake. It connects the main intake line to the secondary one (no those arn't official terms, i just don't know what to call them). But seriously I think it might be a garden hose. I pulled it out earlier to remove my intake so I could work on my car and its all cut up, and it has 2 layers too it. Not sure if it's the right hose for the job, but it came with the car and it gets the job done, so I wont complain.
