With a 50 gallon copressor and a cheep sandblaster, it took from about 3pm to about now (9:30) including paint drying time to do 1 rim.

I didnt take the tire of the wheel, but that would make it easier.

It would also make it alot easier to get it professionally sandblasted. i think i was quoted about 50 bucks to have it done, but then you have to get the tires off the rim.

to do all 4 rims it would be a full weekend job, if you have your own sandblaster.

Make sure to follow the directions on the paint! DO NOT try to rush the painting. Make sure it has time to dry

My clearcoat takes a full 5 days to dry. but its hard after just 30 mins.

Its ok to put them on the car after about 4 hours of drying, but dont drive it for about 2 or 3 days.

getting it professionaly sandblasted might take a little longer, but might end up with a silightly better quality, although mine turned out perfect.

im just heading downstairs now to take more pictures of the finished product, clearcoat done! il post them to my cardomain page in a few mins.

They did turn out sweet, suprizingly the colour matches perfectly with the old rims. its just crylon spray paint.

The final product pictures are up on the cardomain page.

Actually they look exaclty like new, as far as the eye can tell. and the greatest part, it was just crylon spray paint, dull aluminum. $4.50 a can at canadian tire.

One can is MORE then enough to do all the wheels.

You also need a can of clear coat. I used motormaster clear enamal $7.50 a can @ canadian tire

Unfortunatly after getting that wheel done my compressor went KAPUT and nolonger runs, tracked the problem down to a blown capicitor on the motor. Stores arn't open today so hopefully il get one tomorow. Damn.

Anyways, back to dreaming on what upgrades i deffently cant afford to do to my mx-3
