Winter Vacation

Post by jschrauwen »

So who's planning on getting away somewhere this winter? South to warmer climates and nice beaches, to the mountains for some skiing, far away exotic or close to home?

I'm looking at going here;

After watching the trend on mark-downs, I'll be waiting til just a week before the flight. Traditionally it should go for about just over $600cdn taxes included for 7days all inclusive.

I don't have a lot of funds either and have only had one week off work since last Feb and I've got 2 more weeks to burn before end of March. I need a break, whether I like it or not. :freak:

John ... you are going down south for 2 weeks?

One week usually isn't long enough .. it takes me at least 2 days to whine down ... next thing you know you're on your way home

Two weeks would be nice since it would only cost another 300 or so for the extra. Unfortunately, I have 10 woking days (2 weeks) left and I'll need an extra day ahead and after the flight because of the wierd hours of departure and arrival (thursday to thursday). That'll leave me a few days left over for March break with the little one.

well i really dont have the funds either. Being a college student is a life of debt for sure, but traveling is worth its costs. Plus we are driving from here in PA to Utah(33 hr drive) then we are staying with friends so itll only cost gas, a little food, and lift tickets. o well.

jschrauwen- enjoy your trip to the carribean. Its so beautiful down there.

john have a great trip its a really nice area you won't have too many crazy school kids out there mostly retired couples and just married people so its def a good place to relax, i used to work at a travel agency and peopel that went there loved it and if you ever get the chance check out aruba and st lucia on your next trips i dont think its possible to not be awed by the twin peaks in st lucia (no pun intended) im trying to convince my parents to go down to aruba for the winter this year.
