2 years ago it suffered thru winter, last winter did a 5spd swap, this winter , engine swap, and it will never see winter again

winter is a perfect time for major upgrades, and gives me 3-4 months to do it :D

I had snows the first and only winter my mx-3 experieced with the ze, I agree that winter tires make a hell of a difference, but the power still enabled the car to break loose easilly, the car ended up sandblasting itself from the road sand, quote the damage that winter.

Just a winter car

Post by neumann »

I just got my mx-3 GS for Winters only. Put real Toyo Garit HT winter tires on it.

Come April I will store it for the summer. My summer car has never seen winters

Anyone should be able to manage just fine with all-seasons, I used to, until i bought my Mx-3, it came with a set of snows tires and rims. I took them off in April and we had anthoer snow storm, I couldn't believe the difference between them and the all seasons, I was sold on them since, and actually have snows on the 626 now. My dad was doing alot of reasearch cause he eventually got them for the Escape, and basically 1)there is very little different between the cheapest and most expensive snow tires the cheapest ones and 2) The cheapest snow tires perform significant't better than any type of all seasons.
