Changing the Mazda badge on the bonnet?

Post by STAINLESS STEEL »

I wanted to change the old Mazda badge on the MX-3 to the new one. But I wanted to know what would be the best Mazda model to get it from. One that would be in similar size.

Or in your opinion what would be a good Mazda model to get it from, wheather big or smaller.

Thanks.

The US models all use the same size emblem on the hood. So any one would work. Maybe that is not the same in the UK... dunno.

No. I talking about the newer Mazda badge that is used on new Mazda cars. And I wanted to no which other Mazda model would be good to get this badge from, to put on my MX-3.

All the MX-3 badges are sort of the same. Apart from the diamond shaped one and the more curved diamond.

So what Mazda model badge would be best to put on my MX-3?

That is what I answered. All the badges, on all years are about the same size. From what I know all badges that are the same shape are the same size. So if you want a newer badge get it from any newer Mazda b/c they are all going to be the same size. There is no car that will size up any better than another since they are all the same from any model that share the same badge shape.
Get it???

I Just ordered the 1999 Miata Front one. 1999 (PN NC10-51-731) only. 2000-2005 is to large.

Rear emblem from Protege5 is almost identical , if not.

Originally, I ordered the 2000-2005 Miata Mx-5 one. This badge was definitely TOO BIG for the car.

Considering Mazda5's is larger than 2000-2005 Mx-5 one, I strongly recommend you the P/N: NC10-51-731 from the 1999 Miata.

I just finished to install it today, and the size is identical to the OEM Mx-3/Mx-6 one.

You just need to cut the alignment pins (which are different than ours), get off sticker protection film and STICK IT ON ! The 1999 Mx-5 Miata badge perfectly hides the original holes in the hood (for OEM badge), provides a new look, and costs only $8.50 CDN !

I'm now ready to get and install my 2003 Mazda Protegé 5 leather steering wheel !

To my tastes, this badge is way too big for the car.

But this is a possibility !

Is the Mazda Miata badge definitely the right one that will fit on the MX-3 bonnet to cover the holes? Remember I've got the old Mazda badge that is curved, not diamond shaped.

I want to order it very soon, but I want to be sure I order the right one. Also, if it is from a Miata, what mark or year of that model would it be?

Also, has anyone got any pictures of converted front Mazda badges?
