going boosted!!!

Post by Joey's mx »

Ok so i have didcided to go turbo now after trying all motor.....i have got the turbo set up already..just wondering a couple questions!!! What is a good safe range of boost to run on the DOHC B6 with the stock pistons and rods, but with everything else done(cams, head, pulley, intake manifold, injectors, fuel press. regulator......) I heard that these motors have a really strong bottom end??? What would be the best size of exhaust to run with the turbo set up 21/2" or 3"??

I think you should move this thread to Forced Induction.

My GUESS would be probably 7-8psi, but that's just a guess.

What I would do is go 2 1/2 in exhaust. And you could prolly run around 15 psi (depending on Injector size) but I would work up to that. Start with stock actuator for around 5XX miles then go up from there.
