Check the connection on your MAF maybe. Mine does that now that I have the plug kinda streched due to having to relocate for the turbo.

i was also thinking the temp sensor but the car will run at operating temp or not and it doesnt over heat it just kinda dies without warning, could it be my fuel pump ?

If its your fuel pump, it will usually just die totally. Could this be ignition related? Electrical prob maybe?

Does it just flat out die, or does it lose power and sputter?

do you know about the wiring? electrical is tricky as hell. If you dont know much, there is still stuff u can do....

check all connections...
check for burnt wires...it does happen.
check for loose connections (not snapped in) <- i know mechanics can be messy with this sometimes.

So, if you hit a big bump, enough to move stuff, or catch the wind at the right angle, or even hit the gas hard if your motor mounts are weak or old, connectors can come loose. Trust me. i just spent 100 bucks on a sensor and it was just a loose ground cable..it affected my idle coming to stops. it just does/did weird stuff. again electrical is not for the weak hearted lol.

dunno what else i can help with but if i can help more i will.
My names Dave, and Mazda has direct access to my bank account...sighs...
