Speed Bleeders / Solo Bleeders
I'm looking to replace my front and rear caliper and clutch bleeder screws with subject bleeder screws. It would be a big help if someone knew the bleeder screw sizes. Xmm (screw size) x Xmm (thread size) Xmm (thread pitch) Xmm (thread length). Some of these parts places never even heard of these things and look at me like I had 3 heads when I inquire. It helps when there's a younger staff member since they seem to keep abreast better with newer products. If I can present some actual number sizes of screws than I can at least do some cross referencing since Mazda in general doesn't seem to come up on their data base. Those that have these already, specific brand part numbers would be even better. Thanks,
*John*

I have speed bleeders, and now I can't live without them.
Easy to use and easy to isntall. I can't remember what sizes i have though, but I will try to find it out.
I ordered them from http://www.speedbleeder.com
I think I got two M6, and two M7, or maybe it was M7 and M8.

SB8100 (front disc) and SB7100 (rear disc) from that site. $15 a pop for stainless seems like a good idea. john do you want to ask about the clutch line bleeder? i'm really interested in these.

Thanks ovendenk, then it's confirmed that it is M7 (SB7100) and M8 (SB8100) I have got. And I got three of M7, and that one didn't fit the clutch bleeder. That's odd, because I read in a thread here that it was that one I should get.

http://www.PDM-Racing.com in Vancouver has them for ~ $12.00cdn per pair. Part #'s Front 639550, Rear 639570. These are Russel Brand Speed Bleeders, that's perhaps why the different part numbers. OK, so to clarify, the front are 8mm and the rear are 7mm - correct? And Macen is it possible to confirm if in fact the one you tried for the clutch and didn't work is 7mm (same as rear). Once this is confirmed, I can order me some. Thanks guys!!

those ones aren't stainless though. speedbleeder.co has that version for $7 a piece. $15 a piece for stainless. i know that if i'm gonna be cleaning up my calipers and spending money on brake lines and speed bleeders, i don't wanna see no more rust!!!
btw, this is right from speed bleeder's site and i'm 90% sure it would apply to pdm. 30 hrs isn't too long.

Zinc chromate plating withstands a 30 hour salt spray. Other plating with higher salt spray results is also available.

got it verified by speedbleeder.com. the clutch line is a 8mm or part # SB8100. so, 3 SB8100 and 2 SB7100. is there enough people interested in this for a potential group buy from speed bleeder? i prefer them because they offer a completely stainless steel version for $15 a piece.
right now for all brakes and clutch it's $75 for stainless and $35 for zinc coated.

Confirm that these are USD$ and require CDN conversion and that there is also the shipping fees, brokerage fees and duty/taxes. What's are bottom line $ here then?ovendenk wrote:got it verified by speedbleeder.com. the clutch line is a 8mm or part # SB8100. so, 3 SB8100 and 2 SB7100. is there enough people interested in this for a potential group buy from speed bleeder? i prefer them because they offer a completely stainless steel version for $15 a piece.

I was told 7mm somewhere else too. But the 7MM just fell in the hole. Thus, I've had a spare 7MM Speedbleeder for over a year. But the clutch bleed can be done with one man without the Speedbleeder anyways. If I had to guess, I'd say try the 8MM. But I know the clutch is DEFINTELY NOT a 7MM, whatever it is.
