My '92 GS with a manual trans has a front end vibration when accelerating at highway speeds (above 50 mph). I don't notice any vibration when cruising or slowing down, just during acceleration. The tires are new and car has the same vibration before and after the tire swap.
I doubt it's an out of balance tire as the problem was the same before and after getting a new set of tires. My rims are all in good shape and clean and round.
I'll check on the CV shaft, though it's not making the usual clicking sound when making tight, low-speed turns.
when this shaking happens is there a loud engine roar that sounds like the engine? i had the same thing as u that it was shaking and all and it turned out to be a spun wheel bearing
just because the tires are new, doesn't mean it's perfect, the tires can have a belt shift, or maybe they didn't balance it properly.
if u don't clean the inside of the rim, it might not be sitting flush to the wheel balancer.
also sometimes u could have a slightly bent rim, and u could barely notice it.
and also, the boots on the cv shafts could be perfect, and it would still be defective, they could be out of balance.
