I can not for the life of me find a 1994 or newer mx-3. I had a sweet 95 rs with every option, low miles, very clean in and out. I was convinced that I needed a vw and sold it. What a mistake that was. The kid I sold it to has it for sale now. But, he has put 10k on it never changed the oil. It now needs a new head gasket, valve cover gasket new front tires new brakes. the interior is fing nasty with beer cans and what not.
It still all in all is a good car, what should I do?

Have you tried sourcing one through http://www.cars.com or http://www.autotrader.com? You can expand the geographic search to fit your location and those sites have listings from many listed classified ads from all over da place - all gathered into one place. fwiw
