I don't know about your engine question but if you can get ahold of that video I'd love to see it

How old is your battery. Cool/cold weather will nearly kill or outright kill a battery that's near the end of its life.

Before you shell out some cash for anything. Clean off ur battery terminals and the battery cable connects. Could just be a loose cable connect

good luck

oh ya here's the link for the 'brake' thing

Exactly! That's why I got 2! :)

No kidding, I never had any problems even when I drove my car in the winter, even on the coldest days, no problemo at all turning over. Absolutely amazing cold weather performance.

my car is spitting out gas out of my exhuast. im sure that has something to do with it.

i did what u said, and im def. getting full battery power.

im just at a lost for words, for all the problems im having. i keep thinking, damn it, why me....however, it is a 1992, and its still hanging in there pretty good for a car that wasnt maintained by its previous owner.

the gas out of the muffler is driving me nuts...it literally spits it out when i rev the car hard....very scary.

i am a newbie i dont know enough about mx-3 yet - but could it be that there is no combustion in one or more cylinders and the fuel that was injected is just pushed out. The problems causing no combustion could be bad spark plugs, bad spark plug wires, bad distributor, timing issues or wrong air/fuel ratio (too much fuel being injected that smothers the flame) - i guess that would bring up bad injectors too.

Well, How sure are you that actual gas is coming out and its not gas smelling water - i read somewhere that it is common for condensate water to spew out of exhaust. if it was actual gas - wouldnt it evaporate long before reaching the tail pipe because of the exhaust temparature?

Actually....cold DOES NOT kill batteries. That's why you store them in the cols and they will last longer. Heat kills batteries you just don't notice until it is cold and your battery has to work harder to turn over a cold engine.
Just thought I would add my 2 cents

Oh...and the gas coming out of the exhaust could be a burnt exhaust valve if you have a sohc 1.6. They are prone to it
