hey guys i autocrossed for the first time today i didnt know what area to post this in i am interested in doing more events so i need to impove my suspension i know i need coilovers and a sway bar and better tires but what are some recomended brands and a good site to get the parts from and also if i forgot anything that would improve my suspension please let me know. any advice would be appreciated

strut toer bars makea huge diff if you dont already have them...

MX-3 w/ curved neck millenia klde, boosted @ 5 psi. /bov and wastegate are good!/ nitto drag radial/ gutted interior/ millenia red top injectors, vortech fmu/aem wideband/ all bolts ons/ Car put together 100% by me. Mechanic? who needs a mechanic? ew.. real men work on their own cars!

if you want to be competitive, just slapping on parts will disqualify you from a LOT of auto-x classes.


first figure out what class you want to race in, then depending on the class, modify your car accordingly.


If you want to do H-Stock, you have little options in the suspension dept. You can do struts only...no springs or anything.

If you want STS, you can do strut/coilovers/swaybar/bushings/stb's and a couple more things.

exactly what Gro said, you have little options for suspenion to stay in your class.

Try buying some R compound tires if you really want a huge difference, also maybe swap your stock wheels for some leight weight ones, as long as they are stock size and width you shold be fine, adding a sway bar will not also bump you up depending on if its front or rear.

Honeslty just get some good tires work on your driving and just have fun for a bit until you get the hang of it. :P
