Smells Like Fuel

Post by speaker_hmong »

My Vehicle seems to smell like gas once it has been running and it comes to park. I dunno if my fuel lines are leaking or what. Any suggestion as to what might be going would be appreciated.
thanks.

let it run and look under your car and look for a leak. if it is coming out some place then it will likely end up on the ground.

That is what is funny though, i don't see any leaks on the ground even if i let it run for a while. I am just wondering if it is coming from my engine bay.

Forgot to mention that i did remove the resonator. I am also wondering if that could cause it to smell like fuel all the time. Other than that there are no leaks or anything like that that i can notice, physically inspecting it.

Its probably just your gas cap, I replaced mine recently because I could smell fuel and I couldn't find any leaks, problem solved.

I did replace my gas cap a while ago. I had lost the OEM one and i purchased another one designated for the x-3. The cap seems to fit on there pretty tight though too.
