Everyone OK From The Storm?

Post by Nd4SpdSe »

Man, at work I couldn't believe how dar the clouds were to the north, it was freaking night at 3:00pm and constant thunder, really freaky. I heard there was alot of flooding as well as a tornado that touched down, so is everyone and their Mx-3's OK?

It was pretty bad in Ajax, I was at work (car parts warehouse) and we kept losing power. Then, a little water started leaking in the sales office, and before we knew it, it was gushing in the back of the warehosue.

In a matter of minutes, the whole warehosue was an inch deep in water, and a lot deeper in the back. Don't think any stock got ruined, casue it's all on shelves (even tho they are an inch or two off the ground) I guess we'll find out on monday.

For those who know ajax, the place where Westney road dips under the 401, that was all policed blocked off. All the water merged there, and was really deep. Like over your car door deep. i went out last night at 1!:30, and it was still blocked off one day. They cleaned up some lanes, but the other was was shut down> most of the water was gone, but there wwas just a couple inches of mud there. I'm sure it's claned by now.

I wonder what we are gonna do at work on monday... We went home whent hew arehosue was full of water...

a lot of the east/west routes were closed around 5 last night due to flooding. The water was up to the roofline on the cars at some points. I even saw a car sunk in water on rutherford at keele last night after it was all over

At my work in Woodbridge our building got flooded, there was so much friggen water coming in everywhere.

Out on the street there was so much water the man hole covers floated away and a Acura Integra drove right into one, sucks to be him, his suspension and rim got all destroyed. Amazingly like 5 guys lifted the car out of the man hole and they pushed off to the side.

yep. Pretty crazy. Lost power at work from 4pm for a couple of hours.

Had about 2 inches out water in the store, and the loading dock was right up to the top!! that's about 4 - 5 feet!!!

the parking lot sucked too, every step was a soaker!! about three to five inches of water!!!

My buddy who lives in Burlington, works in Brampton and while the storm was pouring all day, his car was filling with water in the parking lot because he parked over a man hole cover that blocked up and he was at the lowest level in the lot. He just bought an '01 Prelude a month ago, and has already crashed it once ($3000 damage-didnt go thru insurance) and now this! I told him he has this luck because it's a Honda!
