Opinion on this car I looked at...
I'm buying my first car and it's what you think it is.
I looked at a 94 yesterday it's a 4 cyl base model. No bells or whistles. it has 129,000kms, silver, new timing belt, and is in great shape inside and out. They are asking $9250 CDN.
Is that reasonable price for such a "Plain Jane" model?
Is it possible to get some power options istalled and how reliable are they? I'm looking to get if possible, keyless entry, power windows.
Need some second opinions if possible. Thanks.

Re: Opinion on this car I looked at...
My opinion: OUCH!
In September, I bought my first car - a '94 4 cylinder MX-3. Excellent condition - not a thing wrong with it (besides a small crack on the left headlight) and it had 155,000km.
I paid: $5800.
My friend also owns an mx-3 (a 93) and he paid $5000 for it (about 120,000km on it).
Don't do it! Just my two cents....
Re: Opinion on this car I looked at...
I paid 2500 USD for my 93. W/ 108,000 and it was flawless except for the cv's needed replaced.. You could find one alot cheeper, but just make sure you have it completely checked by a mechanic before you buy it or anything for that matter. My openoin... Keep looking... ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

I bought a '94 MX3 GS (V6) with 110,000km last summer for $8500 CDN. I probably could of bought it for $8000 CDN but there was another buyer who offered $8000 so I sealed the deal on the spot for $8500. I have no regrets for paying a bit more because it was EXACTLY what I wanted. A black MX-3 V6, body in MINT condition, came with a 1 1/2 year powertrain warranty even though it was bought privately (take-over warranty), no sunroof or no power options which is what I wanted and nice clean engine at 110,000km.
If you want power options, buy a MX-3 without the power windows and buy that option separately from a company that specializes in them like Autoloc (http://www.autoloc.com). The power windows tend to fail quite frequently although I haven't heard anything bad about the power locks. It kinds sucks not having power locks cause you must pull the handle when you close the door or the door won't lock. My friends keep forgetting and the passenger door is hardly locked unless I check it.

Don't do it man! I bought a 92 GS for $3500 cash in September! And it's in mint shape!
