Tie Rod Woes

Post by speaker_hmong »

Is there a way to install or uninstall the inner tie rod w/o the special tool.
I would take it to the shop but i dun want to have to pay an arm and a leg for the install of the inner tie rod. Also most shops will not install carry in parts.
If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated.
Thanks all

Not that I know of. I think you are stuck with a professional install or buying the tool. I don't remeber the tie rod tool being that expensive though.
Auto Zone (if there is one near you) rents them for free I think. You pay a deposit and they refund 100% of it when you return the tool.
