forcedairram wrote:Well first things first, turbo kits can be cheap, for instance i might have 600-750 in mine. You can easily piece together some used parts and make some of your own, including turbo manifolds, clutches. Secondly, if you guys are only gonna post a reply of "try the search button", dont bother, you dont need to be an a-- just because someone asks for information, thats the whole point of a forum. If you dont feel like repeating something you have posted before, simply dont post anything at all. Some people are too busy to find 2 or 3 hours to look for information on something like a turbo kit. Especially when it only takes 5 minutes for someone to post a simple reply of what parts are good and where to get them.

So Chuelow if you have any questions feel free to message me and i will do the best i can to help you out.
nice ppl are cool! :2thumbsup:

the only reason i said to use the search function, is at the time that this post was first posted the same question had just been answered a few lines down. truth is my origional kit only cost me about 700 bucks. i payed

150 for the turbo and manafold from a wrecker
100 for a custom down pipe
100 for the injectors
100 for the 255 fuel pump
50 for my fuel pressure reg
100 for my IC and piping

it starts to add up. then you start replacing things with betting things as you get money, and things break. but to get all new and good quality items you could easly spend 2K.

it depend on the shape of the motor, high milege and stuff. but most in great shape can handle 13 psi. high milege i wouldent go over stock boost, off of the VJ14 its about 7 or 8 psi.

boost

Max boost pressure depends on the size turbo along with the shape of the motor. For instance a larger 16G turbo flows more cfm than the vj-11,14's. So it really depends on what size turbo your using, I run 18psi off of the DSM 16G on my stock junkyard bp. Seems to hold it fine. Aslo tuning is a huge factor, if not properly tuned you wont be able to run 7psi.
