This is on a 93 mazda 626 2.5 v6.
I don't know any 626 guys so I figured I'd come here
where I feel more welcome
The car cranks but it won't start.
I pulled a plug and it's not getting any spark.
I had an extra Ignition switch and tried that,
still it cranks but will not start.
I'm thinking it's either the distributor or the ignition module itself.
I hooked up the 626 (kly1) dizzy to my friends klze mx-3 and his car
wouldn't start with it. He's using the kl01 dizzy from the 1.8 v6.
So here's my question.
Will the kl01 dizzy work on the 2.5L 626?
Is there any other way to test the original 626 dist. to see if
that is the actual problem?
The 2 plugs on the dizzy, are those for the internal coil and the
ignition module?
Is there anything else that would cause me to not have any spark that
I could check?
Thanks for the help as always fellas
No spark, tell me what you guys think.

there's a section in the shop manual that tells you step by step how to check for a firing problem. Follow that procedure and it will tell you what's wrong, get one of those multimeter because you're going to need one.
Where there any symptoms before it failed ?
G22 is a good place to start on the online shop manual
