rear seat removal questions!
Hi guys.. this is prob real easy and stupid of me for asking but I figured its best to ask anyway, after searching...
but how do you remove the rear seats from an MX-3?
I've got a track day coming up on monday and wanna shed a bit of weight (might as well, and it looks cool )
I've managed to get the top-half of the rear seat out, no probs.. just 4 bolts
but the lower half, I dunno! theres large bolts holding the seat-belt buckles in, is it these that need un-doing? do they hold the rear seat in place too?
I dont wanna bust anything, so figured i'd ask first... im sure theres plenty of people who've done it

under the front edge of the seat...about inbetween your knees if you were sitting in the seat...there is a little plastic quick release lever. There is one on each side. Once those are popped loose just thread the seatbelts back through the holes carefully so that you don't tear your seat up. Done

cheers for the pointers there, just pull upwards and (after a bit of persuasion) they popped off (quite a pop too! quite a sturdy thing they're stuck too)
the bottom section aint heavy at all, but i removed it anyway lol
good picture that, guessing its from the online service manual thing on this site, - i looked through that, but couldn't find an interior or seat section or whatever..
