Got some new pictures!!!!

Post by white94mx3 »

Here they are, I've been working my a-- off on my car this weekend all weekend.

Before. Body Kit and Passenger fender were nothing but White Primer, OE Wheels, and the wing was also in white primer, it was missing the top panel. Erebuni took an extra 3 months to send that part to me.

During the work. My arm still hurts from all the sanding. lol

ya you can see how paint is different on door vs fender, also your gaps look bad fender/hood, and it needs lowered, other than that it looks good

Well, the front bumper, fender, side skirts, rear apron, and wing were all re-painted. Using the exact color code of the car. But up close in person you can't tell a difference, I'm about to wet sand the whole car and buff it, then the old paint's true color will come out and it will be a perfect match, but the only reason it really shows in the pictures is because of the camera's flash. if you look at the car in person, you can't really notice a difference. As far as the gap between door and fender, I dunno why it's like that, That fender has been replaced, it was pulled off another wrecked MX-3 at a junkyard so it may be bent as well, but I'm planning on buying either the Z3 Fenders or the VSX Fenders anyway, so I'm not to worried about it.

THe body kit "was" in primer. I repainted it in "PT" Mazda Chaste White Single Stage Polyurithane paint. The Same as the OE Paint

buff your old paint to bring back the true color, it'll make the panels match better.

If I would of done it I would have redone the clearcoat on the whole car. Ususally its the clearcoat that makes the car look different. Same paint with different clear coats look different.

That's the thing, The car never had a clear coat. The OE Paint on the car is just Single Stage Polyurithane paint. Not 2 stage base coat clear coat
