Hi all.
I just wonder if anyone has polished their intake manifold on the Mx-3 V6 engine.
I have seen many other cars with polished intakes.
Is it just to unscrew it or do you need to take apart many engine parts?
I don´t have so much knowlege about engines. But I know basics.
Happy to get links or other tips.
Cheers Glenn

yea its really easy, but dont forget there is a small 12mm bolt in the back of the Intake Manifold that will piss you off until you figure out that it is there.
It will most likely be the hardest part of doing it (knowing its there is the big part, removing it is easy).
Overall an easy job. I suggest starting with sandpaper grits: 120, 220, 400-600, and then 2000 to finish it. If you're doing it yourself, be prepared to be sanding for at least 20 hours if you want a good job done.
While its off, may as well order some Outlaw Pheno Spacers since you have to replace the gaskets anyways.
Im also doing mine at the moment. Ive got most of it done down to about 600, and will be starting with 2000 grit this week then I am going to get some polishing bars and that should finish it.

Yeah here's a picture of my KLZE with a polished intake. It can turn out quite nice but some intakes have bubbles and flaws in the casting which can be quite a headache. You'll find a crater in the metal and when you sand it out, another appears. I had a couple nasty spots in mine that I eventually gave up on.
