What type of paint to use for calipers

I used 1200 degree engine paint that can be found at any auto parts store, but it quickly lost its brightness and started to collect alot of the break dust. Im wondering if there is any type of lacquer out there to put over the paint in order to keep them bright and clean.<P>Matt
