I havent used these guys yet.. but.. I have seen a KLZE engine come from them that was clean enough to eat off of.. and that impressed me quite a bit. Dunno how good their prices are.. but if I was in the market for a used engine.. I would probably go with them just because that KLZE was so damn clean.. assuming that they are competitively priced with other import engine distributers that is.. Here is their link for their available engine list.. and they do show that they have the BP in stock for the 94-98 Protege DOHC engine. Best of luck..

Just called the place. $695 for used BP with 45k miles. $95 shipping to PA. 6 month warranty for parts only. Little high priced IMO.

Personally.. unless its outrageously more cash than the next guy.. I wouldnt mind paying a little extra if the engine was as clean as the KLZE I saw from them. Guess I have a fetish for clean engines ;)

That sounds about right compared to the motors I have researched from online JDM companies. Most N/A Mazda motors are going for around 600-700usd. If you want the BPT or B6T start willing to shell out about twice that.

Do an internet search for JDM motors or JDM mazda motors. A lot of companies will come up.
It might be slow, but it's not a civic!

Yes it is relatively easy to clean a engine. Thats not my point though. I am not talking about them cleaning their engines prior to selling them (though I suppose they could be doing that). The KLZE I saw from them didnt appear to have been cleaned by hand.. yet it was still a clean looking engine. Clean engines that dont show oil leaks usually mean they were better maintained engines. This doesnt mean that the engine you will get from them will be in such condition.. but it could mean that it will be in such condition.. and to me.. thats worth a few extra bucks when you are buying a engine you cant inspect before you purchase it. Just my two cents.
