CORKSPORT vs. MAZDASPEED...

Post by jrors »

Ok guys, I'm really in need of you all's sound advice. I'm getting my car painted the same Blaze Red on my RS soon but that base bumper it came with has never been something I liked much, so, I want to get the MS styled bumber because to me......it looks "AWESOME"!
However, when I went to Corksport.com to check the the price on both, the Mazdaspeed front nose is $700 while the Corksport version is only $300. Now, I've never been the one to go cheap when it comes to quality parts for my MX, but $700 for a front nose, is to me a bit steep when compared to the Corksport type.
So my question is, if I go with the Corksport model......... is it good quality? Or should I just fork over the big bucks for the Mazdaspeed model? Let me know guys, as this is something that I must make a chioce on soon. And as always, thanks in advance guys!
By the way, is there in other place that I can get that Mazdaspeed nose at for less?

Thanx!

They are the same basic thing... no need to pay so much for a Mazdaspeed version.

I think the Mazdaspeed may be urethane, and the Corksport one is Fiberglass, but that should be the only difference.

I think Perry is right, the Mazdaspeed one is urethane and the Corksport one is not. But it is not all that low, so clearance to the ground is not a factor and I have my car dropped.

The Corksport version, which is what I have, is very good quality at a much more reasonable price.

I had a feeling it was Monty. However, I just cannot see me spending $700 on the front nose alone. I was hoping I would find a Mazdaspeed front nose on Ebay like I did the on the OEM side skirts and GS rear spoiler (both in Blaze Red), but so far........ditto.

go to nopionline... far cheaper than corksport... go to the "specials" section and u can pick it up for like $230... and if you call up on the phone, they'll give u $95 for shipping, instead of the $145 they want if u order online...

screw corksport, yo ucan get it for 230 on nopionline.com

click to mx3 and then click "for sale items for htis car" and it is listed for like 30 bux cheaper.

Shipping is 90 bux too and you can have more than one bumper shiped for the same price.

FYI the erebuni is what corksport sells, they just pretend like they make it themselvse. Erebuni also doesn't make anything they sell, they source kits from around the globe & stock them stateside so they can sell em.
