S-AFC QUESTION

Post by osargeant »

Hi folks,

Since I cant seem to find anyone using the Greddy E-Manage on their turbo MX3, I pretty much am looking at going with the Apexi S-AFC. What size injectors are you guys using with the S-AFC and from what vehicles?

I was thinking about the MX6 turbo 310cc injectors or the JSpec BPT 330cc ones. Would these be plug and play or would I need to fiddle with the harness.

Any ideas?

i believe that the bpt are a low impedance injector, so they will not work without a resistor box. i think that the probe injectors will work and i know that the 323 gt/gtx injectors will work.

ok injector size depends on your hp goal, and the bp injectors and the 323 injectors are high impedence

Actually both the B6 series and BP series vary between High and low Impedance. My J-Spec b6t had a rare set of High Impedance Injectors on it. Also we pulled a Turbo Capri motor out and it had High Impedance injectors. Personally I wouldn't trust word of mouth on this subject due to the fact they are known to vary. Your best be is to test the Injectors resistance with an Ohm meter. High Impedance is around 12-16 ohms and low impedance is around 2-6 ohms of resistance.

If your interested we have a set of used High Impedance B6T injectors for sale $100 for all four (came out of the Turbo Capri motor we pulled).

The S-AFC will work on at least 440cc injectors (I've done it).

Well guys,

I got my S-AFC today and will look at installing it shortly, where are you guys mounting the unit? I think I will try it initially with some 310cc MX6 injectors and see how that goes.

Any advice would be appreciated.

You would'nt need a resistor box on an allready low impeadance injector. That defeats the purpose. It probably would'nt inject at all!
