Well, I always bought mine new

but you can always hit up a pawn shop or even a stereo place.. alot of them take partial trades when people get new gear, so they sometimes have decks cheaper than retail. With stereo equipment, you get what you pay for. My own deck cost my just under a grand, but that's way overkill.

You could probably pick up a decent deck new for about 200-300. Mind you, that's $CDN, so if you're AMerican it works out to about twenty bucks lol. If you're planning on building a good system, wait until you can afford to buy good parts, you'll be much happier in the end.
