Sounds like a good set up. Going through threads on probetalk convinced me to get gm synchromesh gear oil part #89021808, and you can get it at any GM dealership. BG synchroshift is supposed to be excellent to but i couldnt get it locally. This is a good thread:

I hear that most gear oils are harmful to our transmissions as they have sulfer in them which is harmful to the copper components in our trannys. I have had some coresopndance with A guy at Red-Line who really helped:
Chris,

The biggest difference between the MT-90 and the 75W90NS is the GL classification, the MT-90 is a GL-4 and the 75W90NS is a GL-5. This refers to the type service the gear lube is suitable for and dependant on the manufacturers call out could be suitable for use. What vehicle is this fluid for?

Advance Auto can special order some of our products from their warehouse that aren't stocked.

The special order SKU codes are:
MT-90 *AAP SKU# 7070052
Their warehouse doesn't stock the 75W90NS.
So I Said:

This is for a 93 Mazda Mx-3. I have read that many fluids contain sulfer which is harmful to the copper components found in the mx3 transmission. Oils such as Mobile 1 are horrible for these trannys. I have heard of many people simply using ATF but I am not sure that this is the best solution. I should also mention that this is a stock transmission that is handling more power than stock now because I am doing an engine swap from a 1.8 to a 2.5 liter, using the same transmission.

My shop manual specifies:
Grade: API Service GL-4 or GL-5
Viscosity: All-Season SAE 75w90 Above 50 degrees F SAE 80w90

Any Ideas???

He replied:
Some GL-5 gear lubes with sufficient reactive sulphur EP additives can be corrosive to brass, bronze and copper. The other issue and more critical as far as shiftability is concerned is the slipperiness, most gear oils are designed for differential use, containing a friction modifier and consequently can be too slippery for transmission/transaxle synchros. An ATF can be used in these transaxles below 0°F.
In your transaxle I would recommend the MT-90, a 75W90 viscosity GL-4 gear oil. This would offer good performance and protection for your MX-3.

Tranny may have different axles if it does your looking at about $700 to get them over here. Why the 6 puck clutch on a 200hp car? They shift kinda hard.

Shawn's right the axles are different and you sure don't wanna use a 6 puck clutch, hope this isn't a street car.

yea I was thinkin that too.. a 6 puck is a little overkill

I have a CF Dual Friction and its more than enough for a stock ZE.. 200hp is not that much power
