'01 golf headlights what do you think

This forum is for discussion of topics relating to MX-3 lighting such as Headlights, Tail lights, Accessory Lights, Interior Lights, Etc. For example, Rear Euro Altezza Style Tail lights, Headlight units, LED's, HID's, Bulbs, Interior lights, Neons, Strobes, Auxillary Lights/Fogs or anything filament and gas discharge related.
Also anything dealing with the elctrical system.

what do you guys think about putting '01 volkswagen golf head lights into an mx......cause i just happen to have a pair laying around.

Aaaa, you will have a Golf..... :roll:
But seriously, just like with any conversion from another car, you will have to do some bodywork. I think Golf IV headlights are too vertical for the slope of the ones on our car, so they will not be the best fit. Miata 2nd Gen would be a better choice if you gotta chop metal bits anyway.

i already have the lights so if its warm tommorow im going to take one of my headlights out and see how close they really are but i was looking at them and they are very simillar in size and slope, if you would belive it

it's been done before, there was an old post about someone seeing one driving past them with the conversion. But yes some major modding will be required

I don't think it looks right at all. It's not an easy task to take headlights off of a very boxy car and try to make them look proper on an mx3. I wish them luck with that one.

guys i have these headlights and i got them for free and i dont think that they would look that bad but im not doing anything untill i get a chance to look at them on the car

guys if you copy and past those links into the browser it works... and may i say wow.. that looks a lot better than i thought... to be honest i'm thinking they look better than the civic ones...

they're not too terrible, still look odd and i think the civic's will look better for my tastes at least. i'd say go for it, it'll be a rare mod and may look nice for you.
