How do your projectors look?

Post by ertaisi »

I have one concern about doing the civic projector swap. When done, and done well, does it look to be of OEM quality fitting? I've seen all the pictures, but I can't tell if tucking the assembly under will still allow it to look flush with the rest of the body.

i had quite a few people tell me they thought they were stock headlights when i had my swap done. As long as your hood lines up good everything should be fine.

Here's the best write up I've found on the project:

According to this guy, as long as you keep trimming everything, you can get a pretty good fit.

BTW...we need a write up like this one in the FAQ's. (Don't know if we already have one, I haven't checked in a while. )

Heh, that's Didlin's write-up. And I agree, it's the best source of swap info I've seen.

Didlin, if I missed it somewhere in your walkthrough I apologize, but how much time would you estimate you spent fitting the lights?

The first head light took us 4 or 5 days, but that wasnt consistant work, that was with breaks and watching the game etc.. But the 2nd light only took us 5 or 6 hours once we knew what had to be done. I think you could probally do it all in one day if you started in the morning and worked at it all day. I guess it really depends on how much time you have and how carful you are cutting the lights.
