At how many miles were you at when your distributor died?

Got a 'brand new' one put in today.
'93 GS with 198000kms.
Still hurts to sit down.

Mine went out @ 62,000 miles.

Just curious, but how do you know when your distributor has packed it's bags? Mine is a '92 GS and 250.000 km, and I'm not noticing anything yet...
