1994 V6 pricing
1994 V6 pricing
Hallo from a newbie and potential owner:
Does anyone know anything about a red '94 V6 5 speed which is on sale in dowtown Toronto? It has (supposedly) only 70,000k on it and the dealer is asking $13,990 when the red book should be somewhere about $9,000 I think. Maybe it's highly modified? or maybe it is gold plated? or maybe I'm out to lunch on what these cars go for? I would sure appreciate whatever info you might have. Thanks.

Hallo and thank you for responding Bri94GS.
Does your car (forgive my lack of knowledge about model nomenclature in Canada and the US) have the V6 or the 4? How do you like it so far?
Winston
Re: 1994 V6 pricing
I bought a 93 rs with 69k miles on it for $4600. If the dealer has that much it should have a very good warrenty. I doubt that the car is highly modified. It seems kind of steep to pay. Jim
93 Bright White

That is a little high. Dont buy from the car dealership because they jack the price up.
Dean

Re: 1994 V6 pricing
hi
i picked up my 92 gs ( gs is a 6, rs is a 4 ) two years ago for $ 5200 CAN.
found it online, private sale, and paid just under the book value at time.
i live in toronto also, and the resale market for mx3's is preety good.....price, and choice.
$14,000 is absurd...even with only 70,000 km ( and bet you big, those aren't hwy k's....all city )
take your time, look at alot of cars, check out chariots.ca, ....don't rush, you'll find what you're looking for ( and your price )with a little patience.
it took me 6 weeks to find my baby...and well worth the wait.

Re: 1994 V6 pricing
Thanks to you all.
Your responses have been most helpful. When I looked at the car in question, I found that both front fenders had been ever so slightly bent (one still was) and the seam where the fender sits on top of the other thing which it sits on top of under the hood was kind of "crimped" on both sides, and both fenders had been painted; that I stopped right there.
I look forward to whatever happens.
Enjoy your rides!
Winston
Re: 1994 V6 pricing
I am going to assume that it has a KL-ZE 2.5L V6 conversions done to it. There is a MX-3 custom shop in Toronto that does KL conversions. IF this is the case $13,900 sounds about right. THe 2.5L has a base of 200 HP and any other mods just increase it from there. This is one fast car, I'm talkin 911 fast, if it's a KL-ZE custom. I have a 92' 1.8L imported from Japan and it is worth $7500. I hope this was helpfull.
MIke

quote:
Originally posted by Winston:
Hallo from a newbie and potential owner:
Does anyone know anything about a red '94 V6 5 speed which is on sale in dowtown Toronto?
