BPT wiring harness
BPT wiring harness
I need some help with my BPT. I bought a BP Turbo engine about a month ago from a company in Canada. they sent me one with a cut wiring harness. I need to get a hold of a complete wiring harness that will make my BP Turbo engine run in my 1993 mx-3 fwd. I was wondering if i might be able to get a hold of a wiring harness from a junkyard or something. Perhaps the one that came with the stock engine will work? (mine has been slaughtered) If maybe someone has an old wiring harness or something that i can buy from you that will make this engine run or something. I am just getting desperate and ready to drive this car.
THANKS

I know where you can get a harness for real cheap.. so cheap infact that it is free.. Can you make a guess? Hmm? Where is that pesky harness? Well my friend, it is under the hood of your car hooked into the engine you have now.
It only takes minimal modification to a couple of plugs to get it to work.. The only plugs that arent right are the tps plug and the o2 sensor plug. I think that is it.
What are you going to use for the ecu?
The 93 mx harness WILL work because that is what I am using!

93 MX3, BP, Haltech E6X, Bully Six Puck Clutch, Pauter Rods, Wiseco Pistons, Port and Polish, Turbonetics T3/T4 Ball Bearing turbo and a partridge in a pear tree.

The mx-3 ECU will not run that engine very nicely. Atleast it didnt with mine. I wouldnt run it to long unless you have a piggy back system. Ash or jaydog can answer in more detail but I think I remember hearing that you can put in the BP ECU and it has a better platform to start from(it makes sense)

If you decide to use the mx3 ecu with a safc2 I have the settings to give you.. I have the real bp26 ecu and it is AWESOME! You wouldent even know that anything was changed in the car..

Well the safc is just a piggyback system that works with your existing ecu. It controls the voltage from the airflow meter going to the ecu.. You can richen and or lean an engine using this computer.

Theres one for example. Just read up on it and what it does.. The brand name is APEX'i and the product is a SAFC 2 (Super Air Flow Converter)
There should be lots of stuff on it around.. I'd try the apexi website too..

That is the first model..
theres a newer one (safc 2) but you gotta go onto the japanese site to see it.
