Since the MX-3 is build on the (BG) 323 chassis 95% 0f all the mechanical parts are interchangable with the all the 323 Family (90+ 323, protege, Escort/ Laser, Kia Sephia. Also the (CA) Astina, Estude, 323F, Lantis are made on a modified BG chassis. As with any manufacture it is not uncommon to see parts used for one model to anorther. so finding a parts also used in a B series pickup or a 3.0L 929 is seen often. There are some parts that are interchangable with some models of Mitsubishi cars. On the B-series engine you can interchange the VAF from an older BMW or Toyota.

yep, since denso sourced a lot of the sensors, air-flow meters & fuel injectors you can interchange quite a bit of that stuff between models, but nothing I've found on any toyota, bmw, mitsu or kia will fit the K-series engine cars
. If only there were a special larger-cone'd VAF from a diff car that you could get from the junkyard :-/
And i used a FPR solenoid from a mitsubishi on my protege when I had problems finding one in the junkyard. Since all of the solenoids on mazdas are made by mistu anyways![Shrug ](./images/smilies/shrug.gif)
