Clear tails?

i vaguelly recall a post sometime ago concering taking the rear tail lights and making them a whiteish clear... but i searched and can't find it... anyone know what happend to that? or how they were made?

not sure what you mean by behind the red... but the ones i'm talking about simply looked almost like a white reflector and then light up red or amber or white (depending on which light was light up) it looked nice... i'm not talking about making them totally clear like the altezzas.. i just mean having the color removed form the lenses.. someone in here did that and posted pics... looked very nice

that is the style i'd like only i'd probably smoke them just slightly i think that would look nice

it's your choice but, actually those are illegal to have. without the red reflector on them your screwed. Basically there just for show purposes only, not for daily use. where i'm from the cops will pull you over in a heartbeat. oops, oh yeah to answer your question... :p they stopped making them

someone was selling those? i thought someone modified their own tail lights to do that... and yeah i know they are technically illegal... so are the altezza lights actually but the cops let them fly...

actually, altezzas are not illigal. They actually comply with SAE standards.

However all red bulbs are illigal (must be a red lens).

all i know are what the state cops told me in my area... although i could really care less what is legal as far as lighting goes.

... what company was making and selling those white tail lights?
