Painted Tails

This forum is for discussion of topics relating to MX-3 lighting such as Headlights, Tail lights, Accessory Lights, Interior Lights, Etc. For example, Rear Euro Altezza Style Tail lights, Headlight units, LED's, HID's, Bulbs, Interior lights, Neons, Strobes, Auxillary Lights/Fogs or anything filament and gas discharge related.
Also anything dealing with the elctrical system.

I wish i would of taken pictures, I used Ace Hardware Stain Glass Window Tinting type spray. Just pretty much looked for a red clear spray paint. I then taped off all around the light and taped of the reverse part (it is illegal to tint in WA) and then cut out around that section by using the grove that is there (from when the clear part was put into the red part i guess). It went fast did it at 11:30 and night, let dry the next morning then put them back on. I did 2 light coats and one heavy one (just make sure the surface is very clean and you have no one kicking up dust cause now i have a couple specks) and the amber is 100%gone. Looks nice! And its a little darker cause the red is a little darker. If i ever want to go darker i have the night shades stuff too...

Very nice. Much better alternative to altezza tails IMO.

:2thumbsup: Looks awsome man. Gives a few ideas to try when i get my car back from the autoauction next week. I agree with bubba about a better alternative to altezza's.. Nice job!
