My projectors arrived!

Post by hgallegos915 »

woah these look nice...will try to fit them in the weekend. I got some doubts...the tutorial on cutting the bottom of the lens and parts of the inner fender looks way easier than opening them up. Has anyone tried both ways? i dont really wanna open them up. How long should it take using that tutorial that came from that black mx3, seems pretty simple. fromwhat ive seen all i need is a dremel tool and some measurements. any ideas and tips before i start?

I must mention that using a really hot knife to cut the projectors seems to be working super fast and quite well..it took me less than an hour to cut one light....i did it just because i dont have a dremel tool.

ugh its pretty quick but welll :/ you learn from mistakes..the smoke that comes out from burning the plastic, kinda leaves a residue inside the lens..I had a hard time cleaning it up using a wire hanger and a cluth taped to it. (had to fabricate it since i didnt wanna open the light) If i had a dremel tool i would have used it...do not use a hot knife unless you are ready to either open the lights or clean it from the inside with a rag :S by the way..they are coming out pretty nice :D The rest of the cuttings that i do, I will use a cutting tool.
