S2000 Head Light conversion

Does anyone know who owns this car?

I'm not sure but I think it's an S2000 headlight conversion but it was listed as a Celica.
How hard is it to convert to these headlights. I'm sick of everyone saying there's going to be a new headlight coming out for the MX-3 and there's been nothing. I've been waiting for over 2 years! I've decided that it would be cheaper and easier to just swap.
What other swaps are there that could be easily done without changing the looks too much?

Not sure of costs, but Im guessing that one was quite a a dam lot. I found some that are very similar to the MX3 light, last time I posted some they had covers over the light but these havnt. They are from a MG TF, but they would still require quite a bit of surgery.

An MX3 buddy that works in a Rover dealer told me those headlights are way too big to fit in our hood.

If the Civic head lights would work then I don't see how the MG one's would be too big.

Well, any size headlight can be used, just depends how much custom body work you're willing ot put into it. Both the s2000 and civic lights require extensive cutting and shaping. Face it, if it is made for another car, especially company, its not likely going to fit another easily.

And for the point of an s2000 headlight being cheaper then a projector Mx-3 (whether it will come or not) is probibly false. Have you really looked at the price of a headlight for that car? My guess is 300+ a piece.

I've priced the S2000 head light at a local import salvage for $100-150 each it's just the price of having it done that scares me. I've talked to a friend of mine that said he might be able to do it for $1000.
It'd be a lot easier than waiting for a MX-3 headlight.
Of course there's always the custom headlight option. It seems simple enough but I'm still not comfortable with taking on a project like that. Plus, I don't know where to get everything that I'd need.

Personally, if your gonna change the headlihts, atleast get something that will aloow you to do projectors

If you're willing to do an s2000 conversion, then surely you would beable to purchase a set of mx-3 head lights as well. All you do, it purchase a extra set, and modify those. No down time, and if you destroy it (which probibly hard to do, because there is always way to fix something), you still have your normal lights in. Unlike if you start cutting your body apart for another car's lights.

I would love to keep my stock headlights and just modify them but I wouldn't know what I was doing. I don't even know where to get he parts or what to use.

out of curiousity has any one looked into rx8 or the mazda 6 or mazda 3 lights?

i thought about using the RX-8 headlights. but to make them match youd have to swap in the tails. but i think they would look sweet on an MX.

S2000 lights are Projector and are HID to that. Any other vehicles' lights that you are going to put in your MX you have to be concerned about the front frame and the radiator clerance. Look at how tight your stock lights sit in there. Do some measurements. I can see you doing the bodywork to fit different lights in, but doubt you would want to cut the frame or change the rad.
