weird question but it might look cool
i am lookin for a roof scoop (just for show not for go) one the has the front open and the back closed so actually it could slow me down anyways back to the subject is there a way to wire a small neon into the scoop so when the rest under the car are on that that one would go on to....am i just dreamin is it possible i know u would have to wire through the roof and also what about the safety of the neon does anyone think it would be broken easily by flyin debri from the road

well it could work, don't see why not you'd just have to run the power wire to the same switch as the rest of the neons. as for the neon's saftey, i doubt you'd get too much debris hitting it most will probably catch your windshield or front bumper, if you're really worried about it you could put mesh infront (though that would look wierd) you could always give it a try anyways, neon's aren't that expensive.

Mind you, neons are illegal while driving in most areas, and thats under the car.
Neon on the roof would get you in a lot of trouble. A lot more then its worth. Especially if it's red or blue

You could always put a strip of lexan in front of it.
Have you thought about CCFL?

easy, you get either a..i dont know the work for it, say, 2 circuit switch that turns both circuits on, or you wire up a relay in series with your primary underbody neons circuit and it will turn on the second circuit for your roof neonOriginally posted by jwillistyl55:

I have had my Eurolite underbody neons for about a year and 2 months and no breakage, but 2 transformers but the "professional isntall" wasnt professional and kept shorting it out. They even went though the winter, didnt use them tho, but they survived.
I drive with them on all the time (except the winter) and never have been pulled over, i drive right past cops all the time, even ones in speed traps (im not speeding of course, i rarely do when i have my neons on). Once where were 2 cops parked talking in the parking lot about 3 houses away, i drove right by them pulled in the parking lot beside my house where they could still see me, and went in, they didnt budge. Maybe cause they knew where i live now, but never had have any problems from them
BTW, this thread had a pic of one, but looks to be gone, i remember it, you can try hunting down for it

Why don't you save the money you'd spend on all that junk, and add some enhancements to your motor if you haven't already !
