is there way to directly attach pictures from my computer in messages, without having to host them somewhere?

No, not unless you host em yourself on your computer by setting your PC up as a server with access to/from the Internet. That means you would need to buy a public internet address and set up a web page on your PC and you'd hafta worry about all kinds of security precautions cuz once puters on the "outside" can get inside your PC... hell can follow.

Also, setting up your own Internet accessible server/PC and connecting it to the Net usually(always) violates your contract terms with your Internet Service Provider (ISP). They don't take kindly to residential consumer accounts using their bandwidth to host a server.

So, the short answer is--more trouble and expense than it's worth.

www.imageshack.us will host images for free.
