Hard 2nd?

My ATX on a 92' GS always shifts hard into 2nd?Any suggestions?

mine does the same when i push it more than normal. personally i like it, but it COULD be a problem. this started around last year though and still no problems with my transmission.

Yeah, no real problems with my Trans either I was just curious. I had a series of bad Trans swaps about 5 years ago. Mazda was realy cool, they covered the warranty even though it had just expired. S&H to Germany was a Mother#$@%&* though![ July 07, 2003: Message edited by: Justin Evans ]

Many MX-3's have a hard shift into second, it's a pretty common problem. Could be several reasons, but one of the most probable is that the syncro for second gear is bad and thus you have to force it into gear instead of it being sync'd already.

BTW I have a manual instead of an auto like you said that you had, but it could be a similar thing.

mine does the same thing i hate it but it doesnt seem cause many problems
