Automatic engien swap....Why not?
I RealY want a fast automatic mx-3.I have searched the sight and could not find the answers to these questions so i posted them. Any input would be great.<P>1. Has anyone swaped the b6t or bpt into an automatic trany MX-3?<BR> 2. I have seen in a few posts that it cant be done, but why not? Ive herd that all i need is a simple adaptor.<BR> 3. What kind of hp do you think the 95 mx-3 auto trany can hold?<P> Thanks

It's been done.<BR>The answer to all your question lies in the 3rd. The tranny can't hold the power.<BR>the guy who did it swapped to manual after he popped his ATX.

oooold topic, but i'm digging for info right now, hehe. the tranny CAN be built to hold power, but not too far above about the 300hp range.

make that 350hp range, since the 2.5 trannies can bolt to 1.6...
