Calgary Nov Meet
Well, I thought it would be good to squeeze out another car meet before the Christmas season. The meet will be Nov 14th and the location is to be announced. If anyone has a good suggestion for a location, let me know. Close to a coffee shop or something might be good, so if it gets too cold - we can warm up with a nice mocha or something. I'd like to go over some stuff for next year's events as well (MITM 3, MX-Series 2, West Coast Trip, carshows, etc...) There has also been a few members that haven't met each other before, so this would be a good oppertunity for that as well.

What time on Sunday is good for everyone? I was thinking around 2:00pm or so.

Re: Calgary Nov Meet
I think I can do November 14th, at least nothing has come up yet to make me say no, so i'm saying yes.
It may not be a spectacular place, but the Blackfoot Diner is always good. Of course I suggest it cause its close to me, but I guess its fairly accessible to anyone though cause its so close to deerfoot. Big huge parking lot, large booths in the restaurant, sorry no mochas but you can get yourself a regular coffee with hot chocolate in it!! Hahaha, i'm out of suggestions now though....

Re: Calgary Nov Meet
Alright, we can keep that in mind. That's usually the problem; trying to find an open lot where we can park our cars together. Who else has some suggestions? I would hope to keep the location somewhat central since a lot of us live in either the NW or South of Calgary. I was even playing with the idea of somewhere in Westhills but those parking lots are starting to get too crowded on the weekends.

Re: Calgary Nov Meet
Some pubs near Brentwood.... and you can hop accross to the C-train station parking lot for pics which is usually empty on weekends. Mind you, I'm not terribly close to Brentwood these days.
It would be the same thing for a place near any major train station... usually dead on the weekends. Some place NW or S would be better for me, but whatever works.

To an MX-3 Mini-Meet \ Members meeting. Still trying to find a good location. The trick is getting a good place with a nice open parking lot.Originally posted by Lord Of Mx3:

Just a question.... your location says Ontario, did you move to Calgary?

Re: Calgary Nov Meet
Well, what would everyone think of just meeting in the (NE Calgary) Cactus Club parking lot like last time. It seemed like that area was fairly open at that time of the day. Dallas said she would be coming too. Now if only we could get her to post on the forum...
But anyways, what does everyone think of this idea?

Re: Calgary Nov Meet
As much as I enjoyed the Cactus Club, any other places of interest? I'm poor! lol
For lack of a decent imagination and experience in finding great places to eat, here's a couple I have thought of in case anyone wants a few other options:
Chilis - North Hill Mall (only eaten there once, was decent, good for parking)
Loco Lous - a bit noisy, but I don't mind the place.
Earls - 16th Ave NW
Kelsey's - 16th Ave NE
Julio's Barrio - 10th St & Memorial Drive NW (Kensington) although I don't think parking is good
Kilkenny's - Brentwood Mall. Lots of parking
If no one likes the NW, then the Cactus Club is acceptable for me - really enjoy that place. My votes for the places listed above are probably Chili's or Kilkenny's
