Mx-West Vancouver Island Mini-Meet September 25th

Hello All,

Just as the title says, we are planning to have a mini-meet in Victoria, BC. Just an informal gathering to hang around, meet new people and have fun. Were thinking of just going for a short scenic local ride and then may be go bowling or so.

I know that there were a few members from WA state that wanted to come and visit. So this invitation is extended to all owners in WA state who are willing to cross over to Victoria via a Coho ferry from Port Angeles, WA. Anyone over from Vancouver are welcome and of course anyone from South Vancouver Island or Up-Island are absolutely welcome. In fact it would be nice for a few of you to come down.

No particular itinerary yet, will be announced closer to the date as well as a cruise route.

Any ideas and suggestions are welsome as well from anyone. Please also let me know who will be able to come. We wish to make it worth while for out-of-town guests.

I'm in! Josh and I will be coming up from Seattle. We're going to hopefully hook up with the Vancouver gang, and head over via BC Ferries.

I'm looking forward a little scenic drive, and a picture opportunity.

This will be the last time I see my car for nine months as well so I'll be ready to drive!

I'm in for the meet. Most likely I will come over on the 24th friday. Can't decide if I'm going to drive or walk on the ferry. Taras, I'll call you tomorrow night to talk more about it.

now i have to get all those parts on and repairs done to my car before the meet

Nos21, I got a "MayBe" scribbled om my little board here. It great to see some interest from owners over on the Mainland. It's usually us islanders that come over and have to take a ferry. Other guys drive long distances to the meets from Washington, Oregon and Alberta. Vancouverites have it so easy some time and yet it's so difficult to get people to meet. I am happy at least local Victorians are commited.

Looks like I won't be able to get the day off but will start work early and get off early. So I'll try to catch either the 5 or 6pm ferry over on the friday night. I'm gonna walk on the ferry. Once it gets closer to the meet, I'll call you Taras.

Taras, have you picked a meeting location and time yet so I can post in the events page and mass mail-out to my mailing list.

Kev, that is alright. I shall meet you at the ferry in the evening. Here is the meet location. I have chosen something central and easy to find for out of town guests. It will also be a starting point on our day. Dallas road not far from where the south end of Douglas street ends/starts at Mile Zero of Trans Canada Hwy. There should be plenty of parking spots facing the Juan de Fuca strait and Port Angeles, WA. If WA guys will come via Coho, it will be very easy for them. See Maps attached.
