Rear Mud Guards...

Post by Shades »

I went to the local Mazda dealer here in Coquitlam and I was looking to get some rear mud guards. It's not available anymore apparently...
Now, I was wondering if anyone knows where to get some around here?

Ah yes, I forgot about them.
Question, what is US-SPEC and J-SPEC... does that mean they got the mould for the product from Mazda in the US or Japan? OR is SPEC a company? OR does it mean US-Specifications?
Thanks, again!

Oh yeah... that makes sense... I do believe that post was first thing in the morning... stupid questions... head not working.
If anyone's making a trip from Vancouver to Corksport let me know... I would mind if you could help me out and pick up some for me. Ummm... what happens at the border... do you have to declare what you bought and pay customs tax thing on it? What's the deal at the border?

I don't know if anyone is making a trip down again soon. You can always have Cork Sport ship it by ground to the border and pick them up there or see if any of them are coming up to town to bring it to you.
You'll have to declare the mud guards if you don't install them on the car. You are allowed to bring back any goods up to $50 for 24Hrs, $200 - 48Hrs, $750 - 7 days. If you need more info go to Customs Canada and Revenue Agency. If you have the mud guard ship up, you'll have to pay duty on them. Don't know what the cost of duty will be on them.

I got mine from a Mazda dealership in WA. Just call down there and ask them, and they might be able to order it in. Just depends on if they can bring in the colour you want from a warehouse somewhere.
If so, you can just give them your CC#, and they'll call you when it's in. Then just drive down to pick them up.

Duty in car parts is usually 6-7% depends where they are manufactured, plus GST. So, same.
TT
