Gary, I always park down there whenever I go to Metrotown. To me there is plenty of lighting. If you know of a better covered place to have the meet if it rains, let me know. I'm always open to suggestions. :)

Hey Ed, of course you can join us... every MX-3 owner is invited to the meet. Your 1 year exemption from competition is over and you'll be back in the running. Last year's winners are exempt from entering this year. All the winners from 2000 execept for myself will be back in the competition. Our Vice President might be exempt as well, I'll have to have a chat with him to see what he thinks. :D :D :D

Well, Since I'm new to the club I will definetly make a point of showing up. It will be a long drive from Calgary. I look forward to meeting everyone and making my car part of the family.

I have one question though... What's the law like in BC for Radar Detectors. In Calgary they don't care too much because they like the SWS feature (Safety Warning System). It's an expensive detector and I don't want it to be taken away. I know that I'm not going to be able to handle driving 90km/h the whole way to the Meet. Later!
James Gosteli
_____________________
1993 MX-3 Precidia GS http://www.wyldsidetech.com/precidia/

Hey James, good to hear that you'll be coming out for the meet. :)
As far as I know the cops are pretty much the same on radar's out here. Just don't race anyone on the way into town. They're give out automatic 2 year suspension on street racing.

You don't have to be a West Coast MX3 member to show up do you? Depending on my work schedule, I might show up.

Calgary is not too bad a drive, little long yes, but fun!
Radar detectors are no prob here. Seriously watch it on the kokahala (i have no idea how to spell it! :( ). We were caught on the way out of bc and almost caught on the way back in. Sws, as far as i know, is not implemented here...should be, but oh well.
Watch the news for rogers pass...we got caught there cause of a mud slide...waited about an hour.

Ouch about the Street Racing. I'm not sure how the cops are in Calgary, but I don't really want find out the hard way.
