BMWM3GUY - The only disgrace is people who don't read before they talk spit. This thread is about getting off the line and not about qrt mile times.

I wouldn't know anything about those ebay chips, but please tell us all about yours.

do you really want me to search for 60 ft times of MX3's and WRX's? Theres your "off the line" times right there.

maybe we can meet up and you can see how well my "eBay chip" works ;) Its really cool, it adds 0.7L of displacement and 70hp :2thumbsup: just dont let anyone know mmkay?

LOL bmw guy well said

"getting off the line " doesnt mean anything, cause u could just have a better reaction time.

60 foots are where it counts guys.
unless its heads up racing it doesnt matter how fast you get off the line

I started this post to ask the question "Why could I get off the line faster?" If the answer to that question is "reaction time." Then that's all I wanted to know. I never claimed that my car was better or faster than the STI or RSX, and frankly I am getting tired of having to say that over and over. I will say that I think the RSX is not as great off the line as some people think. Even with a good driver, 120 tourque is beatable off the line with a modified MX3 rs.

Why does he care? I'd be more concerned about breaking in my engine than beating a car with 80HP...it's not like he is going to have bragging
rights after he wins or anything, we already know his car is faster. :werd:

anyways, did you have your rematch yet and if so how did it turn out?

My experience on my 323 w/ BP.
I raced my friends RSX S thats running 14.6 on a street tires. I got him off the line w/ all motor but before I even reach my 7k redline he already caught up so right when I shifted to 2nd gear I had to squeeze my special go,go button to beat him.

I raced a 1st gen Talon 5 times. His was stock talon and mine got all the basic bolt ons w/ out NOS and he didn't beat me off the line or on the top end. I was surprise that I was keeping up w/ the talon off the line but on my 3rd gear almost at redline I gained up on him by 2'. My front bumper was 2' ahead and this is racing him 5 times cuz we both can't believe it. BTW he lauched @ 3k, 4k, then 4,800k RPM nothing above 5k he said he's scared he might break something on his drive train and he has 2 more hours to drive home.
NOS powered BP babee!!!
