S-10 4.3 liter V-6 VS 95 RS

Post by Timmyd865 »

Well here's my write up. I have a 95 mx-3 with the factory b6ze. I do have a custom made and mandrel bent intake. But that's it. Stock tires, manual tranny. My friend runnin a 93 Chevy S-10 with the 4.3 liter V-6 fuel injected has a K and N filter pop top, and edelbrock headers, stock tires. Well first run was me beating him off the line until about 65 mph, then he passed me. Next time i had a great start, and he didn't catch me until 80, then stayed barley ahead of me. So... hurray for about 108 hp versus big american bulkey Overhead Valve engine!

i raced a s10 blazer once. i felt like being a jerk that night cause he was kinda rude the way he said it. so were sitting there (at the track) and he was wanting to race my frined in his dodge truck and hes like no no but i know someone thatll race you. so he comes up to me and is like hey you wanna race and i was like eh i guess. hes like what you got??? oh just a 1.8l 4cyl. ( i must of been tired cause i forgot to mention the turbo and the factr that it never came with a 4 cyl 1.8l motor. oh well. we raced and i dont even think he heard my bov cause i was like 4-5 car lengths ahead. my friend was just laughing the whole time. he left right after the race. i would of been nicer if he was :D <P>oh well <BR>be safe and kick some A$$

S-10's are heavy, you weigh 2500 = you win.

<A HREF="http://carpoint.msn.com/vip/specificati ... 36&src=vip" TARGET=_blank>http://carpoint.msn.com/vip/specificati ... src=vip</A> <P>Nothing says over 3500 lbs there. <P>Also, the Cobra has an IRON block. That MIGHT just add some weight, dont you think? ok, now add all the other stuff that the Cobra adds.<P>I WAS wrong. It weighs 3500 lbs. <A HREF="http://www.staphonline.com/2003cobra.html" TARGET=_blank>http://www.staphonline.com/2003cobra.html</A> <P>The ford Crown Vic still isnt 4000 lbs. Nobody said "with a driver". I should know...a good friend of mine owns and races one.
