Hey man, I think droping in a V8 is awesome, these guys just like whining so don't pay any attention to them. Build on brother!! Can you do my MX next? lol I'm just kidding, so don't everyone start bugging me about it too.

nice project easy 500hp with that engine with just bolt ons, power of ls1 is very high compared to other v8's, ignore all the haters and do what you wanna do

i saw a red 89 rx-7 at a stoplight lastnight and it had a huge cowl induction style hood and then he pulled off and laid rubber up and down the road and it sounded so mean!!! , ive seen that car at a couple of meets and hes got an ls1 in his rx that thing is crazy fast! 
sold the mx-3 , bought 04 gtp comp g , from the smallest v6 to one of the biggest 3800 s/c FTW

hey! i didn't know that people were still posting here. just to let you all know, the engine showed up yesterday... and it looks pretty good. ITS HUGE

after seeing the ford racing focus V8, a v8 mx3 doesnt seem so impossible anymore. it would be very very expensive lol, but awsome.
