Coming out of retirement :)

Post by Sonicxtacy02 »

Some of you already know i was planning this but i guess i'll let the cat out of the bag. Over the last year or so i've been gathering parts from various junkyards all over the east coast to "build" my new mx-3. My building plans came to a stop when i found this on my trip to bumhole PA yesterday
;)

Its a 93 SE, 5speed, 176000 miles (wont matter). I picked it up and dragged it home in my minivan for $600 dollars! Soon it will see a ZE swap, 94 dash conversion, drop, rims, and yes a new paintjob (either Rona blue or a deeper based blaze red) Add the CS mazdaspeed kit and a few odds and ends and i'll be back to be happy when i drive. I'll probably end up selling my turbo altima to finance this endevour but its a switch well worth it IMO.

Its kinda hard to see but its currently 3 colors. The nose is a dark purple that fades to the lighter SE color... then there's the white. It must have been painted recently cause the paint was in great condition. The interior is immaculate, but i still wanna make the dash swap, the 92-93 dash just does nothing for me.

Actually i havent done the complete swap before but i've read up. I've got all the parts available and plenty of metal in case i need to make custom brackets (i know i will need them around the stereo area). I'll take notes as i go and complete a write up when i'm finished. I'm just waiting on a decent weekend to do it at this point!

LoL! That paint-job is ph- phat. You don't like the 92-93 dash? I'll admit, it's nothing special. Just simple and straightforward. However, I feel that the 94+ is just too bubble-y for me...like I'm in a submarine or something. But dat's just me :freak:
